Information

Intermediate Group

We are now in our fifth year, with a strong nucleus of members who attend regularly and who have consequently made considerable progress with their French.  Inevitably over time the membership has changed slightly, but numbers have always been around 14 to 16.  We could at the moment take another two or three members. The members of this group have all done some French before, either at school or as adult learners, many to around O level standard.  All are united in their wish to be able to speak and communicate better in French.

We do use a course book as a framework, but we also use material from the internet, magazines, CDs and videos. When the group first formed we worked our way the BBC Talk 2 course and we are currently about half way through Façon de Parler book 2. We use all this as a framework, but the emphasis is always to talk as much as possible! - not difficult in a group where over time we have all become comfortable with each other, enjoy each other's company and are also a group of friends.

Please contact for further details, if you are interested.

Beginners Group

Ideally you should have a slight knowledge of French. We first concentrate on the essentials, progressing to conversational French in due course.
